Don't Become Irrelevant, Stay With the Times!
Running a company is a never ending and endlessly developing process. In today’s world, technology and innovation changes fast. It’s important to always keep an eye out for strategies you can leverage in order to ensure you don’t become irrelevant or outdated. Here are some strategies we use, and think you should too!
Invest in product innovation and R&D
A whopping 84% of business executives say that innovation is one of their most important growth strategies. If you’re not on the cutting edge of technology and product development, how can you remain relevant? Researching and developing efficient ways to run your business, as well as coming out with new products or features people will love is a vital part of maintaining your “zing”.
For example, we’ve recently invested a huge amount of resources to research and develop holographic stickers. This has been a step outside of what we normally offer, but we worked on innovating this product because we knew our customers would love it. If you’re not innovating, you’re falling behind!

Keep close communication with your client base
Communication is key when it comes to remaining relevant as a company. One of the best ways to understand how your company should be running is by having open-ended conversations with your current customers. Send out surveys, request feedback, and monitor the overall satisfaction of your client base. A huge portion of maintaining consistent revenue, and planning growth, is leveraging current customers and ensuring their needs are met!

Make brand awareness initiatives a habit
Making brand awareness a core effort of your marketing strategies is one main ingredient to relevancy, and it doesn’t have to be hard! This can start from within your own community. Attend or sponsor events, and handout stickers and tattoos of your company logo, or a compelling design that has some subtle branding.
When it comes to art, 45% of customers expect great design when it comes to marketing and sales material, so this should always be kept in mind when planning brand awareness strategies. This is a great opportunity to hire some freelance artists that can work on your branded material, or leverage your graphics team members to come up with some strong designs!

Develop a strong company culture from within
Company relevancy often starts from within. Developing a strong and healthy culture around your office or storefront will set you up for success, and allows you to communicate. Speak to all of your employees regularly, and encourage innovation from all of them. Great minds think alike, but diverse minds think smart.
Challenge your employees to come up with innovative ideas and strategies that can help grow your brand and experiment with out-of-the-box ideas - you’ll never cease to be amazed with what people can come up with!

Leverage social media at all times
Social media is an excellent way to build a company persona and inform others about your brand. When operating a social media account, it’s important to build a feed around the overall “aesthetic” of your brand. Alongside this, ensure you have an employee that frequently checks messages and DMs, as this is one of the core ways customers prefer to interact with brands in regards to order concerns and inquiries!
